Dr. Walker attended college at the University of California at Santa Barbara. After three years, he was granted early admission to Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry. In 1980 he received his Bachelor of Dental Science and in 1982 his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. In 1983 he completed a one year General Practice Residency at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Walker practiced general dentistry until 2001 when he started the Graduate Endodontic program at the VA Medical Center, Long Beach California. In June 2003 he was awarded a Certificate of Endodontic Specialty Training and rejoined his family to start his current practice. His wife's family came to Oregon in 1849.
He
is a Specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists. He
holds Active memberships in the American
Dental Society of Anesthesiology,
Academy of Dental Materials, International
Association for Dental Reseach, and the Oregon and
American Dental Associations.
He has served as Executive Director, President, Secretary-Treasurer
and Editor of the Washington County Dental Society.
He reads a number of different peer-reviewed journals to continue his education in Endodontics, Restorative Dentistry, Anesthesia and Sedation, and Osseointegrated Implants.
